Headlines: Headlines matter – The headline should be indicative of the story at hand and contain meaningful keywords. Start with some keywords, so the search engine will find your headline, then have some fun, so people will click on your headline rather than the others the search engine presents.

3.Linking: An article with a high click-through rate is seen as more relevant. “Backlink” is one of the top 3 ranking signals in Google’s search algorithm. But don’t irritate the user. Help them. Simple and self-explanatory links will do just that, and won’t even cause you to be banned from the Search Engines.

4. Lenght: Overall, longer content tends to perform better than shorter content, A recent report by SEMRush studying ranking factors in 2017 also found that longer pages tended to rank higher.as a general principle we could say that the minimum should be 300 words although it is much better if the news story exceeds this word count. Google values content that is meaningful and of course this comes with a certain extension. So be creative!

5. Multimedia: Always incorporate an element of multimedia, at least a photograph.  When crawling your content, search engines stop at images, looking for keywords and key phrases that can increase your ranking. Search engines tend to notice multimedia more than anything else, as it has greater impact on overall content

6. Strong presence in social media: A single post showing up on someone’s timeline can interest the user to click it. Moreover, they share, comment, re-post, and contribute till they ensure that the people they care about have read those articles. Through the use of social media, your marketing content can be shared more and more. This would make the content reach more people within short span of time.

But remember! no matter how powerful your #CMS is, if your content is not good enought you will not win this battle. Search engines do not serve their clients by delivering mediocre or misleading content. If you do not have good content, no amount of SEO work will build long-term value.
